Hello everyone,
Time passes so quickly. It’s almost time for the May Mass and Social again which is an important part of Spring for us. Our next get together is on May 23rd at St John Bosco We have had to change venue as St Anne’s isn’t available. Fortunately, Father Clement has kindly offered us the use of St John Bosco’s hall and to say Mass for us at 11am despite this not being their usual mass time. The Mass will be followed by a Social in the Hall at 11.45 am. Lorraine has a great programme of entertainment, Bernie will have her lovely handmade goods for sale, there will be a raffle containing the usual superb hamper and other prizes and of course a delicious lunch
We ask for a donation of £10 towards the cost of the lunch and the hire of the hall please and donations of raffle prizes. Family and friends are welcome to join us.

There is a large carpark. If you are coming on public transport there is a 119 bus from Piccadilly gardens, alighting at Southdown Crescent which is opposite the church.
The annual weekend away at Hinsley Hall Leeds is at the beginning of September Friday 4th until Sunday 6th. This weekend is one of the highlights of the year, enjoyed immensely by all who attend. Think about joining us this year we can guarantee you will enjoy yourself. Details will be sent out soon
In February some of us went to the Lowry Hotel in Manchester for afternoon tea. It really was a great afternoon. Food, service and ambience excellent. We realised it wasn’t convenient for a lot of you so next year we will try and get a more central venue or at least on a bus route. More news about next year’s Afternoon Tea in October’s newsletter. Annual subs are £10
Subs can be paid to Pauline at the Mass or by Bank transfer, again putting your name as reference, or (easiest option) set up a standing order and you will never forget again. The rule is that after three years of non-payment your membership will cease and we are sure that no-one would want that!
